When it comes to carbs, it's important to choose foods high in complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains, and limit those high in simple carbohydrates like white rice and white flour. The less processed a food is, the better.
It's also important to include a large variety of healthy foods to be sure you get the nutrients you need. These are just a sample of the various foods you can choose from.
